Mark Carney says he has considered possibility of US military action against Canada
The New York Times reported on Wednesday that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney had contemplated the slim chance of US military intervention in Canada. Carney said his administration examined this "extreme tail risk" scenario and prepared for it, calling it "irresponsible not to". Tensions between the two countries have grown under US President Donald Trump, who has called Canada the "51st state".
