Trump hits Canadian wine and hockey sticks with 50% tariffs
Donald Trump has signed three proclamations imposing an extra 50% tariff on a wide range of Canadian goods, from wine and cement to hockey sticks. The White House said it was answering what it calls Canadian discrimination against American cars, alcohol and dairy products. Canada sends about three quarters of its exports to the United States, leaving it heavily exposed to the deepening trade fight.
