An Emmerdale actress needed urgent surgery after suffering a significant injury from a fall at her home. Lisa Riley, 49, disclosed on Wednesday that she fell from a "slippy" bar stool, causing damage to her thumb's Ulnar Collateral Ligament. She underwent an operation at Leeds General Infirmary, performed by Mr Daniel Thornton, and later praised the NHS for their "incredible" care.
