Lil Jon said he ended his eighteen-year marriage to Nicole Smith because he was tired of walking on eggshells around her. On the Angie Martinez podcast promoting his memoir, he called himself an extreme optimist and her an extreme pessimist. Touring kept the marriage going longer than daily life would have done.
