A Liberal Democrat MP has been suspended from his party, with the whip withdrawn pending a police investigation. Cameron Thomas, the MP for Tewkesbury, was arrested by Gloucestershire Police on Wednesday night, a party spokesperson confirmed. The Liberal Democrats said they cannot comment further while the police investigation is ongoing.
