Leaked report warns net zero push risks higher bills and total blackouts

A whistleblower who shared the document claims executives are too afraid of politics to admit renewables make the network unsafe. Cornwall Insight, an energy consultancy, wrote the study for the government-owned network operator Neso to evaluate its daily supply forecasting. The analysis found that relying heavily on wind and solar leaves controllers struggling to accurately track real-time electricity usage.
