Sgiath, a six-year-old black Labrador from the Scottish Highlands, has located hundreds of colonies of the carpet sea squirt, an invasive slime-like creature. Her owner, marine ecologist Dr Texa Sim, trained her to sniff it out at low tide. The charity IFAW is honouring Sgiath on Thursday 15 October.
