Labour may lose up to 2,000 council seats in May

Labour faces a major test in England's May 7 local elections, with experts warning the party could lose close to 2,000 council seats. Election analysts Colin Rallings and Michael Thrasher say Labour defends around 2,500 of the 5,013 seats contested across 136 councils. Reform UK and the Greens are expected to make big gains at Labour's expense.
