German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender arrived in Britain for the first German state visit in 27 years. King Charles and Queen Camilla formally welcomed them at Windsor with a ceremonial carriage procession through decorated streets. The visit strengthens UK-Germany relations post-Brexit, featuring a state banquet, business roundtable, and visits to Coventry Cathedral to commemorate wartime bombing. This marks one of several state visits Charles has hosted as monarch, continuing diplomatic engagement amid his ongoing cancer treatment.
