Kent sees 9 new measles cases; health chiefs urge MMR jabs

Health bosses in Kent and Medway are concerned after nine new measles cases were recorded there since July 1. The recent rise in measles cases suggests limited community spread, especially among unvaccinated people, with current two-dose MMR uptake for five-year-olds at about 83%. Doctors are urging parents to ensure children get both MMR doses, which are free and vital for full protection.
