Journalist Rod Liddle died on Sunday following a brief illness

Rod Liddle edited the BBC Radio 4 Today programme before his death at 66. His passing occurred at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. Rebekah Brooks, the chief executive of News UK, called him an inimitable force in British journalism.
