John McFall trains for 2027 space mission, first disabled astronaut.
British Paralympian John McFall may soon achieve a historic milestone, potentially becoming the inaugural individual with a physical impairment to reside and be employed in space. He is currently training for a fortnight-long expedition to the Haven-1 orbital facility, which was developed by the American corporation Vast, with its deployment scheduled for 2027. The UK government signed a deal to help fund his pioneering research on how space affects his body.
