Japan's envoy promises deeper UK ties, hints at G20 collaboration

Writing on the 81st anniversary of VJ Day, Tokyo's envoy to Britain highlighted a shared commitment to helping Ukraine. Hiroshi Suzuki said the two nations are also working with Italy on a £4.6bn contract to build advanced fighter jets. He promised to collaborate closely with the new administration before the UK hosts the G20 next year.
