Jakarta airport cancels 209 flights Sunday due to Anak Krakatau volcanic ash

Jakarta's main airport suspended flights until 9:30 a.m. on Sunday due to volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau. The transportation ministry said the disruption affected 209 flights, including some international services. Ash plumes reached up to 50,000 feet on the Sumatra side of the volcano, with schools and fishing trips also cancelled.
