A new software called PS5SX2 allows PlayStation 5 consoles to run physical PlayStation 2 game discs, letting players revisit classic titles. PS5SX2 represents a direct adaptation of PCSX2, a widely used PlayStation 2 emulator for personal computers, reconfigured to operate on the PS5's bespoke Zen 2 chip. PS5SX2 also offers features like 4K upscaling and support for online play through community servers.
