Israel, Lebanon meet directly first time since 1993

Future direct negotiations could bring more stability to the region after Israel and Lebanon agreed to talk again. Ambassadors from both nations held their first direct diplomatic meeting since 1993 on Tuesday in Washington, hosted by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The two-and-a-half-hour discussions were described as "positive" by Israel's ambassador, Yechiel Leiter, and "productive" by Lebanon's ambassador, Nada Hamadeh Moawad.
