Israel and Greece sign their biggest ever weapons deal
Israel has agreed its largest ever weapons deal with Greece, worth about 3 billion Euros, to provide a multi-layered air defence system. The agreement, called Achilles Shield, comes as Israeli defence exports hit record highs, reaching over $19 billion last year. Greece is modernising its armed forces due to long-standing disputes with its neighbour Turkey over sea boundaries.
