Iran denies talks with US after Trump's claim
Deep distrust complicates US-Iran diplomacy after President Trump claimed on Monday that "very productive" talks had taken place. Iranian officials swiftly denied this. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi acknowledged messages were exchanged through mediator countries but stressed this was not negotiation. Iran also rejected a US 15-point peace proposal, saying it has no intention of entering direct talks.
