Iran declares Strait of Hormuz fully open during Lebanon ceasefire

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that the Strait of Hormuz is 'completely open' to all commercial vessels for the remainder of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire. Vessels must follow a 'coordinated route' set by Iran's Ports and Maritime Organisation. The announcement came as Starmer and Macron chaired a virtual summit of 40 countries, excluding the US and Israel, to discuss how to secure long-term shipping in the waterway.
