Intermittent fasting helps keep weight off a year after dieting stops

A new study found that following a 16:8 intermittent fasting plan for 12 weeks not only caused weight loss, but also helped maintain it. Participants who restricted eating to eight hours a day kept more weight and body fat off a year later. Intermittent fasting also improves insulin sensitivity and metabolic indicators, especially combined with a healthy diet.
