Ikea cuts prices on hundreds of items across Europe
The Swedish furniture giant is spending approximately £1 billion on these price reductions, encompassing popular items such as the Billy bookcase and Kallax storage units. Ikea stated that it was able to implement the reductions by identifying efficiencies within its supply chain. For British customers, the Kallax shelving unit is now £49, down from £60, and the Billy bookcase costs £25, a £10 reduction.
