How does AI's own output make pricing impossible?

The same AI prompt rarely produces an identical answer, making the cost of each query impossible to predict in advance. Goldman Sachs forecasts token use will multiply 24 times by 2030, reaching around 120 quadrillion tokens every month worldwide. Saviynt's Simon Gooch said tying clients into year-long contracts 'doesn't make any sense' when nobody can forecast how much usage will cost.
