How do Australian teens dodge the social media ban?
Weak age checks explain why most Australian teens kept using banned platforms three months after the law began, an eSafety Australia study of over 4,000 families found. Just 81% of under-16s still used at least one restricted app, barely down from 86% before the ban, while account ownership fell from 52% to 42%. Half of those keeping accounts said platforms never verified their age.
