Houthis Enter War, Red Sea at Risk
A key global trade route faces new dangers, threatening further damage to the world's economy and energy supplies. The Houthis, who had not attacked Israel since the Hamas ceasefire in October 2025, have now launched ballistic missiles targeting sensitive Israeli military sites. They previously targeted shipping passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait at the southern end of the Red Sea.
