Harvey Nichols seeks £60m for revamp; Next, Frasers eye bid.
The luxury department store needs between £50m and £60m to revamp its Edinburgh shop and expand online. Sir Dickson Poon, an Asian billionaire, has controlled the business since 1991, but pre-tax losses hit £34m in the year leading up to March 2024. High street giants including Next and Frasers Group are already looking into buying the historic brand.
