United Utilities apologises after burst pipe floods Liverpool homes

Homes on Elm Vale in Fairfield, Liverpool, had to be evacuated on Wednesday evening after a major water main burst. United Utilities, the water company, is currently repairing the pipe on Prescot Road and using tankers to maintain supplies. They said customers whose properties were directly damaged will get compensation, and are “extremely sorry” for the disruption.
