London Fire Brigade sent 14 fire engines to tackle a grass fire covering about 14 hectares of land near Lea Road in Waltham Abbey on Wednesday afternoon. Trackside blazes forced Greater Anglia to stop services on a line near Hertfordshire. Smoke from the incidents also caused disruption for drivers using the nearby M25 motorway.
