Google's Gemini AI finds 13-year-old Chrome bug, fixing 1,072 flaws

Google is using its Gemini AI model to scan Chrome's code for vulnerabilities, finding a sandbox escape bug undetected for over 13 years. The AI system also handles bug report triage and generates fixes, saving hundreds of developer hours monthly. Google fixed 1,072 security bugs across two recent Chrome updates, more than the previous 23 updates combined.
