Google uses AI to help planes avoid climate-warming contrails
Google and the UK government are collaborating on Operation Blue Skies, a project that employs AI to prevent aircraft from forming climate-warming contrails above the North Atlantic. The 30-month program will operate in the eastern North Atlantic's Shanwick airspace, aiming to prevent the most problematic contrails with slight flight adjustments.
