German group HateAid files criminal complaint against Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses
A German human rights group is taking legal action against Meta, arguing its smart glasses with hidden cameras break privacy laws. HateAid claims selling the devices is a criminal offence due to their covert recording abilities. Meta says the glasses have privacy safeguards, but aftermarket accessories can block the recording light.
