Gainsborough area sees bird flu, all poultry culled

People in the Gainsborough area now have new restricted zones following a bird flu discovery locally. The H5N1 bird flu was identified by Defra at a commercial poultry site on Tuesday; all birds there face culling. A 1.9-mile (3km) protection zone and a 6.2-mile (10km) surveillance zone are now in effect around the affected premises.
