Free meningitis B vaccine offered in Scotland to new uni students

Scottish health boards are running free meningitis B vaccine clinics for older teenagers and new college or university students. This group faces a higher risk from meningococcal group B bacteria, which causes serious illnesses like meningitis and sepsis. Two students died after an "explosive" meningitis outbreak in Kent earlier this year, prompting the programme.
