Free cholesterol tests coming to English high-street pharmacies for people over 40

The seven-minute checks are designed to drop the number of fatal strokes and heart attacks by 25% within ten years. Eligible adults between 40 and 84 can simply walk in, as long as they aren't pregnant and haven't been tested in the last twelve months. Pharmacists will prick your finger for an instant reading, measure your blood pressure, and prescribe drugs like statins if necessary.
