Former Barclays CEO Jes Staley quizzed by US lawmakers over Epstein links
Jes Staley, former Barclays boss, was interviewed behind closed doors by US lawmakers on Thursday about his past connections to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Staley resigned from Barclays in November 2021 after a UK regulator's investigation found his relationship with Epstein went beyond professional. He was banned from UK finance jobs and also lost £18 million in pay and bonuses from Barclays.
