Flydubai co-pilot planned to crash Tel Aviv flight before joining the airline

Israeli officials say the Omani national told interrogators he only applied for the job because the Dubai-based carrier flies to Israel. Hamam al-Hammami injured his captain with an emergency axe during last Wednesday's flight, before people on board managed to overpower him. A reserve pilot landed the aircraft safely in Saudi Arabia, and investigators claim the man abandoned a similar plot earlier this year.
