First child under 12 euthanised in Netherlands
It's the first time a child under 12 has been euthanised since the law changed two years ago, allowing it for terminally ill children. Sophie Hermans, the Dutch health minister, confirmed the death in a letter to parliament on Tuesday, stating the euthanasia took place last year. A review committee is now checking if the doctor involved acted lawfully, with its report expected shortly.
