Firefighters tackle blaze at Trafford site suspected of illegal waste dumping

Crews were called to the site near the River Mersey on Monday morning after smoke was seen coming from the woodland. Locals have reported a growing problem with builders' and household rubbish, with one calling the smell "acrid." Trafford Council and the Environment Agency are investigating the fire and illegal dumping.
