Few Developers Trust AI for Important Work Decisions

Wikimedia Commons

A Stack Overflow survey of nearly 31,000 developers finds heavy AI use but low trust for big decisions. Among daily AI users, nearly a third spend four or more hours a day with the tools, yet only about seven percent trust AI for important work choices. Seventy-nine percent say source attribution matters. Coding assistants are used by 66 percent of respondents; 17 percent use none.
