Europe urges Trump to host Ukraine peace talks

European leaders are pushing for a breakthrough in the Ukraine war, urging a US-hosted peace summit. At the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains, France, they pressed Donald Trump to host talks between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin. Trump said he would do what he could, noting Russia "should make a deal" to end the conflict.
