EU loan for Ukraine coming in second quarter
Ukraine's budget is poised to receive vital financial support from a substantial €90bn European Union loan. The EU expects to begin releasing these funds in the second quarter, a move that follows the defeat of Viktor Orbán in Hungary, who previously blocked the funds. EU economy commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis and enlargement commissioner Marta Kos both discussed the loan at spring meetings.
