EU leaders are expected to ask Prime Minister Andy Burnham to commit more money towards Ukraine's defence and civilian needs in 2027. Ukraine faces a funding gap of €70bn, and the EU says it and member states already cover about 80% of what Kyiv needs. The request is due at the EU-UK summit in Brussels on 20 November, alongside talks on trade and youth mobility.
