India's Essar Group acquired SGN Retail on Monday, increasing its UK petrol station network to 235 sites. The company aims to expand its retail fuel network to 800 outlets by 2031. The SGN Retail acquisition accelerates Essar Energy Transition Retail's plan for a nationwide, vertically integrated platform, with the deal valued between £400 million and £450 million.
