England's free bus pass age will rise to 67 by April 2028

The age at which individuals qualify for free bus passes in England is set to rise from 66 to 67 by April 2028. This change aligns with adjustments to the State Pension age. Individuals born on or after April 16, 1960, are impacted, with some experiencing postponements starting in September 2026. London residents aged 60+ and disabled people will still qualify under existing rules.
