Elon Musk extends lead as world richest person in March

Elon Musk has cemented his position as the world’s wealthiest individual, with his fortune reaching a record $839 billion following a merger between SpaceX and his artificial intelligence firm. The Tesla chief now holds a lead of more than $500 billion over Google co-founder Larry Page. While most of the top ten rankings remained stable, investor Warren Buffett returned to ninth place, overtaking fashion tycoon Amancio Ortega amid a wider slump in American technology stocks.
