Clark County Coroner Melanie Rouse identified the man as Edward Jackson, known as "Buddy", at a press conference on Thursday. Jackson was an Arkansas man in his mid to late 50s who lived in Los Angeles and was shot dead. DNA from a distant relative matched the remains found in May 2022, and the murder case remains open.
