Ebola reaches Kenya as first patient dies in Nairobi

Ebola reaches Kenya as first patient dies in Nairobi

Wikimedia Commons

Kenya has confirmed its first ever Ebola case, a Kenyan man who had lived in DR Congo for seven years and died in a Nairobi isolation unit late on Monday. He had flown in from Kampala and passed routine airport screening, possibly because medication masked his symptoms. Officials have found 28 contacts and are tracing 23 fellow passengers and four crew from the same flight.
