East London water main burst leaves thousands without supply

A significant water main fractured on Chigwell Road in South Woodford on Sunday morning, impacting fourteen postal zones across east London and Essex. Thames Water has established a bottled water distribution point for impacted customers at Fairlop Ice Kingdom, situated on Fairlop Road. Engineers are continuing their efforts to repair the broken pipe and restore services, with an update expected by Tuesday at 9am.
