Dozens of patients harmed by hospital delays

Many patients, including those with cancer, suffered harm because their diagnosis and treatment were delayed. Administrative failures at an NHS trust led to this, affecting hundreds of gynaecology patients in Greater Manchester. The Northern Care Alliance Trust apologised for the distress after a 2024 review at Salford Royal Hospital found issues like unaddressed results.
