Doctors must cancel strike in 48 hours or lose jobs

Thousands of future NHS training places are at risk if doctors proceed with their planned six-day strike. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has given the British Medical Association 48 hours to call off the walkout, which is scheduled after Easter. The rejected deal included a 3.5% pay rise this year and up to 4,500 extra speciality training posts over three years.
