Dharmesh Patel attempted murder charges dropped after mental health program completion
A California judge dismissed all attempted murder charges against Dharmesh Patel on Monday after he completed a two-year mental health program. Patel was accused of driving his Tesla off a 250-foot cliff in January 2023 with his wife and two young children inside. His defence contended that he had major depression with hallucinations, making him eligible for mental health diversion under a 2023 California law.
